Meet the Mermaid

“Come on down to the Mermaid Cafe and I will buy you a bottle of wine, and we’ll laugh and toast to nothing”
I am a recent West Coast transplant, who moved out there to get away from East Coast/New England winters. I’m now a Southern Belle (who has promised her dad to never develop a Southern accent!)
I love running, hiking, being outside playing in sun, splashing in puddles or water of any kind — I am a mermaid after all. A mermaid with red hair, because naturally they are the purest kinds of mermaids!
I have a black lab, MyraWonderPup, and a black cat, Sam the Kitty Man. I am often singing to them, or at them, as they might tell you. I will make up songs about anything (windshield wipers, soy milk, etc) and can often be found dancing in grocery stores and coffee shops. Yes, this gets me some odd looks.
I’m a writer, and even though I’ve been writing as my job for more than eight years, I’m just now starting to call myself a writer. I love journaling and a have deep love/obsession with pens, paper, stickers, markers…
I love starting things. I’m bad about finishing them. This is particularly true when it comes to my writing, the writing I do outside of my job.
I’m a bookworm who usually has a book in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I can spend hours in a bookstore and not leave one row.
To find out more…well, check back here from time to time.
Dude…
You’re going to have to give me a crash course in WordPress 101 because some things I’m having trouble figuring out…
Grr…
*smeuch*
I wish I could meet you for coffee…we are a lot a like I believe. My Samantha and Alabama, both labs, would love MyraWonderPup, I just know it!
you sound so interesting and so like me. good luck with your personal writing!
hi i am a mermaid i swor down i can swimm and i have a tail in water!
I enjoy observing sea life. A mermaid is just the thing to add to my observations. As a northern Californian, I would like to recommend a visit to the Monterey aquarium. Be wary, though. They like to collect new specimens!
