All through high school and into my mid twenties I had problems with candida also. I found out it was a bacteria called "gardnarella" (sp?) which caused the problems. I've only had a couple episodes with the candida since and both had to do with stress.

Feel better!

Melly, thank you lovey! I find it hard when I travel as well, and I'm in a new environment that my body usually gets grumpy about. I know sleep helps a lot, and I do need to work on the stress. I know stress definitely makes it worse. I have to be better about listening to my body, slowing down when it starts to get bad, instead of pushing through it. Our bodies can heal if we give them the right tools.

It's so hard and frustrating when our bodies seem like they have a life of their own, separate from who you really are. When your body just seems to not be your friend.

But health is the best, the biggest, the greatest gift. It can take a lot of work and effort to get there, but it is absolutely worth celebrating and being thankful for!

Lira, if you ever want recommendations on good lactose-free ice creams, yogurts or cheeses, let me know!

oh kelly, my heart is with you on this. i have very sensitive skin and allergies which flare up occasionally. this past outbreak was when i went to michigan and was introduced to locations with lots of dust and mold. needless to say, my skin didn't like that. lots of itchy rash and redness. when i got back home i changed my diet, started pumping vitamins, and sleeping a a lot. i find the less stressed i get about it the better. stress only makes it worse.
i wish you nothing but gentle healing. if i can help with any suggestions, please feel free to ask.
your in my thoughts, sweet lady.
xoxo

Thank you so much for sharing the story of your health struggles. I like the symbolism of the sleeping dragon. I have a lot of digestive issues (lactose intolerance, for one thing), so I can relate to the chronic stomach pain, bloating, etc. Sometimes I know what I ate that was "wrong" and I pay the price. Sometimes it seems to flare up out of nowhere and I can't figure out what the trigger was. I get so tired of it and frustrated with my body... but your story reminds me to be thankful for all the ways in which my body is healthy.

Buttons that control the voice activation? I think you've been had. That's like an extension cord for your cordless phone.
