“Come on down to the Mermaid Cafe and I will buy you a bottle of wine, and we’ll laugh and toast to nothing”
I am a recent West Coast transplant, who moved out there to get away from East Coast/New England winters. I’m now a Southern Belle (who has promised her dad to never develop a Southern accent!)
I love running, hiking, being outside playing in sun, splashing in puddles or water of any kind — I am a mermaid after all. A mermaid with red hair, because naturally they are the purest kinds of mermaids!
I have a black lab, MyraWonderPup, who is the love of my life. I will make up songs about anything (windshield wipers, soy milk, etc) and can often be found dancing in grocery stores and coffee shops. Yes, this gets me some odd looks.
I’m a writer, and even though I’ve been writing as my job for more than eight years, I’m just now starting to call myself a writer. I love journaling and a have deep love/obsession with pens, paper, stickers, markers…
I love starting things. I’m bad about finishing them. This is particularly true when it comes to my writing, the writing I do outside of my job.
I’m a bookworm who usually has a book in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I can spend hours in a bookstore and not leave one row.
To find out more…well, check back here from time to time.
Dude…
You’re going to have to give me a crash course in WordPress 101 because some things I’m having trouble figuring out…
Grr…
*smeuch*
I wish I could meet you for coffee…we are a lot a like I believe. My Samantha and Alabama, both labs, would love MyraWonderPup, I just know it!
you sound so interesting and so like me. good luck with your personal writing!
🙂
hi i am a mermaid i swor down i can swimm and i have a tail in water!
I enjoy observing sea life. A mermaid is just the thing to add to my observations. As a northern Californian, I would like to recommend a visit to the Monterey aquarium. Be wary, though. They like to collect new specimens!
Wow… so I am ALSO a red haired mermaid who has her tail out of the water right now as I live by mountains and rivers instead of near the ocean that made me (I grew up on Cape Cod and find it amazing that I ever left). As someone who is just beginning to dare to call herself a writer who happens to have a black cat named Banshee and a tiger cat named Seamus or Shimmy-Sham the Earthquake Man and sort has a black Lab named Saoirse (I guess she’s my sister – she’s my folks’ dog, swims in Cape Cod Bay every day), I’m kind of floored by our similarities. Can’t wait to look around your site!
Hi Kelly,
I wanted to let you and Brian know how happy I am for both of you. I am so glad you both have found each other again it’s a great love story. Let Brian know that Mr. Morse is retiring this year because of his brain tumors and that we are off to live in Florida by September and yes our new Condo is right by Disney. He’ll laugh at that.
I know your wedding will be filled with magic, dreams and love.
Suzanne
